Tournament Structure

The EUCGL Allstars Cup will be played out between 32 teams in total over a 3 week timespan.  Teams will be divided into 8 qualifying pools which will be drawn live on the 12th May over on the official EUCGL Twitch channel (3 days before the event kicks off).

Once teams have been placed into their pools, the season kicks off officially as teams battle it out to place either “top 2” in their group or fall down into the “bottom 2”. The great news is, that either way the season isn’t finished for any teams. The pools decide which 16 teams progress into the “Upper Bracket” and which teams progress into the “Lower Bracket”.

This will divide all entered teams and allows them to battle it out over the course of a single weekend through a single elimination style tournament. Teams will battle it out through a last 16, quarter-final, semi-final, the bracket final and then the EUCGL Grand Final. The Team that wins the “Upper Bracket” final instantly qualifies for their spot in the Grand Final.

The winning team from the “Lower Bracket” final then gets to play off against the loser of the “Upper Bracket” final. Please note, the “Lower Bracket” team will need to win TWO best of 5 series to book their place in the Grand Final whereas the “Upper Bracket” team only has to win ONCE.

  • The team entering the Grand Final through the Lower Bracket needs to win TWO best of 5 series to win the Grand Final
  • If the Upper Bracket team has already lost against their competitors in the Grand Final they will need to win TWO best of 5 series to claim the title.

The Winner of the Grand Final will be crowned the EUCGL Allstars Cup Champion (Prize details below)

Winner takes all – £200 + EUCGL Trophy (The prize will be sent to the leader of the winning team, they will need to decide how the prize is broken up among their members)

Terms and Conditions

Score
Match scores can be reported by clicking on the “My Results” tab shown on the match page for each specific fixture. Please make sure that you are logged in to be able to see this tab option under the normal match info. Anybody can report a score. Once reported the submittal is sent over to an active Admin member to either approve, decline or dispute a result (the outcome depends on any conflicting or matching results)

No Shows
All no shows must be reported on website with clear proof that the opponent didn’t add you. The No Show grace period time is 15 minutes after the match’s original start time. For example, if a match is scheduled for 10:00 PM, the no show time for this match would be 10:15 PM. It is important to contact the tournament official after posting a no show on the website. In order to contact a Tournament Official use our discord server Coming soon. (In the meantime, message us on Twitter: @EUCGL)

Time Limit
Both players must report the match results within 10 minutes of its completion. Failure to report the match results on time or respond to any messages that you receive from a tournament official may result in you receiving the loss.

Cheating
Breaking any rule and any form of cheating, glitching, abusing in-game mechanics, or unsportsmanlike behavior may result in a forfeit of a game, match, or ban from EUCGL.com leagues. Cheating, glitching, and abusing in-game mechanics accusations must be verified by a tournament official. Punishable unsportsmanlike behavior includes, but is not limited to, excessive use of foul or degrading language. For all cheating claims, the burden of proof is on the accuser.

Proof
We highly recommend that proof is taken with the console’s built in recording system to gather proof. We suggest that you take a video or screenshot(s) of each game’s results in case proof is needed for a dispute. All proof should be clearly visible and contain the players names’, if they are dead, and their number of kills.

HOST & MAP VETO

You will need to visit the match page of your fixure which is located on your teams profile page which you manage. The team on the left will host map 1,2 and 5 and the team on the right hosts maps 3 and 4. The team on the right starts by banning the map of their choice, the team on the left then bans the second map and so on. On Hardpoint and Search & Destroy, both teams take it in turns banning maps until only 2 maps are left. On Control, teams need to ban until 1 map is left. (A lovely picture diagram can be provided if further clarity is needed)
